Welcome to Beyond Leadership™. This Terms of Service agreement (the “Agreement”) governs your use of the Beyond Leadership™ newsletter, podcast, diagnostics, research tools, and related services hosted on Substack and other affiliated platforms (the “Service”).

Please read this Agreement carefully. By subscribing to the newsletter (free or paid), listening to the podcast, accessing our tools, or otherwise using our content, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who We Are

Beyond Leadership™ is a media and research division of The Short Company LLC that publishes weekly insights, frameworks, and tools designed to help startup founders, venture investors, and executives build measurable, high-performance leadership in the AI era.

The platform is owned and operated by Steve Chaparro.

2. Your Access and Use

• Free Tier Subscribers may access publicly available newsletter articles, podcast summaries, and selected Substack Notes at no charge.

• Paid Subscribers receive exclusive access to premium content, including in-depth research essays, downloadable frameworks, podcast interviews, AMA threads, and early product access.

You agree not to share, duplicate, or distribute paid content outside of personal or organizational use without prior written permission.

3. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed securely via Substack. Subscriptions renew automatically based on your selected billing frequency (monthly or annually). You can cancel at any time from your Substack account.

Refunds:
We do not offer automatic refunds. If you believe a billing error has occurred or wish to discuss your experience, please contact us at [your support email or contact form] and we’ll work to resolve it.

4. Intellectual Property

All content—including but not limited to articles, frameworks, podcast episodes, diagnostics, PDFs, and original research—is the intellectual property of The Short Company LLC and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, or distributed without express written permission.

The Leadership Capital Index™, Beyond Briefing™, and other branded tools are proprietary frameworks and are protected under applicable copyright and trademark law.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use our content for commercial gain without permission

• Distribute misleading, false, or harmful representations of Beyond Leadership™

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other community members

• Engage in unauthorized scraping, data collection, or misuse of our platform

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to any user who violates these terms.

6. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update this Terms of Service periodically to reflect changes in our business, content offerings, or legal requirements. Continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

7. Disclaimer

While our content is informed by real-world research and expert insight, it is not financial, legal, or clinical advice. Use of our frameworks and diagnostics should be considered exploratory and developmental—not prescriptive.
